Utility pole severed in afternoon crash; No injuries

HAGERSTOWN, Maryland – Just after 12 p.m. units were dispatched to the north end for a reported vehicle accident.

Units arrived in the area of 1004 Pennsylvania Avenue and found a single vehicle accident with no injuries.

The vehicle, traveling south on Pennsylvania Avenue, severed a utility pole before coming to stop near the intersections of Burhans Blvd and Pennsylania Avenue.

 

Fire officials requested public works because of the utility pole and a possible issue with a water main.

Units from Hagerstown Fire Department, Community Rescue Service and Maugansville-Goodwill Volunteer Fire Department responded.

Hagerstown Police Department is continuing the investigation.
