HAGERSTOWN, Maryland – A female patient was transported to Meritus Medical Center after a rollover vehicle accident on S. Prospect St. in Hagerstown Wednesday afternoon, according to a Community Rescue Service official.

The female was trapped inside the soft-top Jeep and had to be extricated from the vehicle by Hagerstown Fire Department and Community Rescue Service crews.

Officials could not immediately confirm the extent or severity of injuries the patient sustained.

The incident occurred at 4:16 p.m. in the area of 145 S. Prospect St. between Antietam and Baltimore streets.

Hagerstown Police Department were also on the scene.
